 reproducer:
 * install OLPC OS 13.2.0 on XO-4 with additional RPMs from AU1B_4.zip,
 * open the Journal,
 * insert USB drive with space in label name,
 * on the icon for the USB drive, select ''Backup Journal'',

 expected result:
 * file datastore.tar.gz is properly created,
 * user is informed of completion.

 observed result:
 * file datastore.tar.gz is properly created,
 * interface hangs at "Do not remove the storage device!",
 * the shell.log continually grows.
