 The selected area is painted only one time, if the canvas is redraw by
 external events, the selection is not painted and a white rectangle
 appear.

 TestCase:

 Draw something.

 Select the draw and move the selection.

 Open or close any subtoolbar.

 Result:

 The canvas areas is redrawn but the selected area show a white rectangle.
 If the user press the mouse over the selection, is redraw.

 A connected problem can be show but is a more difficult to reproduce: if
 the user select a image from the journal to paste over the actual draw (in
 the Images subtoolbar), at times, the ObjectChooser is closed after the
 image was painted, triggering a new redraw and showing the same problem.

 The error is in previous Gtk3 versions, but not in the version included in
 12.1.0
