New description:

With the recent announcement of a half-million new Sugar users expected in
Arabic speaking countries, it makes sense to create a tracking bug similar
to one already existing in OLPC Trac and to provide linkage to the issues
 already reported there.

 OLPC Arabic Tracking ticket:
 http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/6808

Sugar Labs Trac bugs of relevance:

 #1649, #1770, #1881, #1912

Comment (by cjl):

 David,

I appreciate your zeal in closing older tickets, but I disagree with your
decision in this case. Please leave the is bug open, it links to relevant
bugs in the OLPC tracker and serves an important L10n/i18n purpose. I
have modified it's tags and ownership.
