 From [OLPC:8903], still present in 13.1.0 builds:

 If you're trying to install an activity or collection from USB, its icon
 doesn't stand out. In 8.2.0 (767), .xo and .xol files display the same as
 any other unrecognized file.

 The code in bug #7197 ("Journal needs support for filtering by filetype:
 xo, xol, any-bundle, 'other'") might also fix this.
