Comment:

 The above patch does implement the desired behaviour, a detailed
 description is in the commit message.

 When playing with it on the XO (os5) I see the following issues:

 - text selection gets sometimes in the way

 - it can be that there are no long-press events any more after a while,
 only normal tap/clicks do work

 - I have seen the case where a short tap would trigger a right click
 action and display the Palette

 Nice to have:

 - better feedback on the link when you do a long press, have a grey border
 or similar
