 When starting a new instance of read Read, where no object has been
 selected, Read should display a canvas UI for raising the Object Chooser,
 see Image Viewer for a similar design when started new, with out an image.
 The current behaviour of automatically opening the Object Chooser can lead
 a user to a dead end if they close the dialogue without picking an object,
 forcing them to Stop the activity as the only way to try again.

 Design proposal:
 - white canvas with the below items centred
 - the Read icon, grey stroke, fill of none/transparent/white
 - grey text hint "Choose something to read"
 - a button "(+) Choose", to open the Object Chooser
