 Based on a private mail by Owen Taylor, we'll have the same problem again
 when we migrate from metacity to mutter. The latter is only a matter of
 time, as [http://blogs.gnome.org/metacity/2009/07/06/the-future-of/
 metacity has been in maintenance mode for over two years already].
