 Currently, if either of "username", "number" or "apn" is not entered in
 My-Settings -> ModemConfiguration, the 3G GSM modem-parameters are not
 picked up.

 This not be a necessity. Whatever parameters (less or more) are entered by
 the user, they shoud be picked up.
