 Steps to reproduce it:

  1. Open Paint (Gtk3 version)
  1. Draw something
  1. Select "Select Area" tool
  1. Select something with this tool
  1. Drag and drop the selected area

 Issue:

 After you drop the selected area, this area goes below the canvas and
 after click outside this area, the selected area is shown

 Expected behaviour:

 Show the selected area immediately after drop it.
