Comment(by greenfeld):

 This might actually be an XO-1 or Sugar issue; the XO in question has not
 detected that I turned off the access point with a school server, but
 olpc-netstatus does not show Salut or Gabble as chosen and instead leaves
 that field blank.

 Still, launching the PDF from the normal Journal works but not from the
 USB stick which is odd.
