 1. Connect/register a few XOs to a schoolserver.
  2. Have one XO start the Write activity (or Chat), but do NOT make it
 publicly shared.
  3. From the Network view on the first XO, attempt to invite a second to
 join the private activity.

 Expected: The second user should receive an invitation to join the
 activity.
 Actual: The second XO silently logs an exception to shell.log:
