 I have seen this misleading error for quite a while in Soas:

 In soas:
 my settings / software update returns "your software is up-to-date" if not
 connected to network. It should detect missing connection instead and
 inform the user of it.

 This may mislead a user into thinking they have the latest activities
 loaded.
