Comment:

 Actually it is not Log activity bug - you just don't have one of
 dependencies (bte, gio is not only Log's dependency but sugar itself).

 You need to install glib package, if it is too old and doesn't have gio
 then there is no way to use recent sugars (and Log as well) on your distro
 (you might to update it to the more recent release though).
