Comment(by cjl):

 The variable substitutions are incomprehensibly mangled, only made more
 complicated by the RTL direction of the text in Pashto.  We need a Pashto
 speaker to review these or the printf errors will make a hash of the UI
 anyway.  I'll try to reach out to OLPC Afghanistan.
