 Since this ticket was first open, I think the activity team has managed to
 convert all of the most popular activities to the new toolbar format,
 where the stop button is always visible. That does make a big difference
 in terms of stopping activities. We also already include a stop in the
 hover menu for the "current" activity that is shown under the XO icon in
 the center of the homeview. The only change we may want to consider is to
 jump to the secondary menu on that icon instantly as has been discussed ad
 nausium in a separate thread.

 As has been pointed out, we have no way of indicating which activities are
 currently open from the homeview (the color indicated that it has been
 opened, but not that it is open) so until we come up with an elegant
 solution to that problem, I don't think we should take any action as
 regards this suggestion.
