 Python uses the {{{<protocol>_proxy}}} environment variables by default.
 If we add a listener for gconf change events (for the Gnome proxy
 settings) in {{{sugar.activity.Activity}}} and set the corresponding
 environment variables based on that, activities might work without
 modification.
