 enough this happened regularly when the previously selected module had
 been an LFO, I'm pretty sure that this was coincidence, but who knows). I
 was able reproduce this behavior every time I selected/deselected modules
 for a little while.

 Yep we need to get deeper, i've also seen erratic behaviors. at least i
 know the part of the code that should be complemented.
