Old description:

 I downloaded soas-i386-20101025.05.iso and burned it to CD to boot on a
 MacBook Pro. From the home view, I pulled the mouse to the top left corner
 of the screen and clicked on the neighborhood button. The view did not
 change, even though the neighborhood button was highlighted. Same with the
 friends view button. After poking around at the other activities, I came
 back to the home view and tried it again. The second time, I was able to
 navigate to both the neighborhood and friends views with no trouble.

 Actually, rather than close it, I'd like to rename it to:

 "Buttons unresponsive when launching Sugar until Journal appears on Home
 View"

 Some feedback to the user -- busy cursor perhaps -- would be helpful.
