 How to reproduce:

 1. Alice opens Speak
 2. Alice invites someone
 3. Bob accepts invitation
 4. Bob goes to chat pane
 5. Bob says something
 6. Alice sees what bob said, but it's not spoken

 This seems to work if someone joins the activity instead of being invited.
