#1990: Write lost my document, twice
------------------------------------------+---------------------------------
    Reporter: bemasc | Owner: tomeu
        Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: Unspecified by Maintainer | Milestone: Unspecified by Release Team
   Component: sugar | Version: 0.84.x
    Severity: Unspecified | Keywords:
Distribution: OLPC | Status_field: Unconfirmed
------------------------------------------+---------------------------------
On Sugar 0.84.15, under OLPC XO-1.5 build 121, I created a Write document,
wrote in several lnes of text, and closed it. Upon reopening it later, it
contained only the letter "T". I re-edited the file, typing in a
paragraph of text. Upon reopening it on another day, it was again found
to contain only the letter "T".

The disk was not full (655 MB free), and the journal contains only 8
items. The build is essentially unmodified. I have not subsequently been
able to reproduce the error, even by editing the same document containing
only the letter T. Edits to this document are now saved and reloaded
 successfully.

The behavior might possibly be explained by a crashed datastore daemon, a
disk suddenly remounted read-only after an I/O error, or a failure to
flush a writeback cache during clean shutdown.
