Comment(by quozl):

 The ''Center Image'' button is badly named, and this has caused you to
 misinterpret the expected result.

 '''Expected Result:''' when user clicks the ''Center Image'' button,
 system is to scroll the image so that the centre of the image is on the
 centre of the screen. The image is the entire drawing surface, not only
 what has been marked on the surface by the user.

 The use-case of the ''Center Image'' button is after a change of canvas
 scroll position, such as after a zoom. Try this; draw something in the
 top right of the canvas, place the cursor over it, then use the Ctrl-Z
 accelerator for ''Zoom In'', repeat this until no further zoom is
 possible, observe the position of the canvas, then ''Center Image''.

 Perhaps the ''Center Image'' button should be insensitive when the image
 is already centred.

 Perhaps the ''Center Image'' button should be renamed ''Center Canvas''.
