 We currently use the gdm package in our kickstart file to automatically
 log in the liveuser, but gdm pulls in a lot of GNOME dependencies that we
 don't need for SoaS.

 We'd like to use nodm instead; it is a simple tool that does the same
 thing (logs in the liveuser) without the need for any dependencies.

 However, nodm currently does not work (if we replace gdm with nodm in the
 SoaS kickstart file, it won't boot and automatically log in the liveuser).
 We're not sure why. Work on this ticket would begin by investigating the
 reason for this nonfunctionality.

 Eventually we'd like to replace the kickstart line that says "gdm" with a
 single line that says "nodm" and have SoaS "just work." This may involve
 upstream nodm code patching, repackaging, and testing on the revised
 kickstart file.
