 Thanks Walter and Aleksey for your work on this one!

 Aleksey, can you have a look and find out how to position the icons in a
 plus? I agree that it is confusing the current way. Your idea of only
 making the changing color "visible" sounds interesting, too. Maybe that
 can be tried as well and we should make then a screenshot of both options
 and mail to the design team as well.
