 I'm not sure what is going on.  Some hours later (having flashed a newer
 OFW on that XO-1) I rebooted that os851 (with #1610 fix) XO-1 system
 (still having the /desktop/sugar/network/adhoc value set false);  I
 happened to click in Neighborhood on the channel 1 icon, and went away.
 When I came back later, that system HAD joined the existing (channel 1)
 mesh network.  Took system dump.
