Comment:

 Would anyone have objections if I push joleary's latest patch into the
 mainline? I realise the whole button matter is still unresolved for now,
 but the patch fixes the initial issue where Pippy is unusable on some
 configurations/resolutions. Tickets #937 and #1927 also seem to be
 reporting the same problem.
