Comment(by satellit):

 if you used a fat16 USB (normal stock format for USB) This MAY be the
 cause:
 liveusb creator only allows up to 2GB max overlay size
 Try formatting of USB stick first:
  fat32, labeled FEDORA, with boot flag set.
 then run liveusb-creator again.
