 installed Speak-11 on XO 1.0 machines running 8.2

 Regular "say what I type", voice & face configuration work as expected.

 However when you click "robot", you get a spinning mouse pointer,
 everything locks up and eventually speak disappears. On two occasions, it
 seems the machine never recovered and we had to hold down the power
 button, ctrl-alt-f1 didn't work.

 This is very reproducible on two different XO-1.0 machines.

 Log (attached) shows errno 12 cannot allocate memory.

 This activity version works great on XO 1.5 B2 machines.
