 Like Daniel says, I'd like to see it everywhere (with maintainers
 approval, etc). It is important on the first days of a deployment.

 My mention of it being rolled into OLPC's 8.2.2 is a "+1 vote from
 downstream"; ie: "Yes, we're using this patch, it's about something end
 users need."
