 Ok, so two issues that manifest in Soas-2:

 - session bus is ran outside the console kit session, so autostarted
 services have less privileges than the rest of the session.

 - the shell isn't automounting because some other process used to do that
 job.

 A workaround for the first issue is coming to soas-2 and I will commit a
 fix to sugar for the second.
