Comment:

 I find it a bit strange as well. When the battery is charging it is white.
 And when we run on battery power it is the coloured one and does reflect
 the %.

 Actually, when charging I would be interested in the percentage which I
 only get in the palette currently. Maybe the icon should be just different
 when we are charging? The gnome icon shows a battery and a plug on top of
 it.

 Eben, can you please comment?
