Comment:

 Yup, I've had many discussions with marcopg on this topic, and the ability
 to switch away just as you describe was one of the highlights of this
 launcher design.  It would be quite unfortunate if this bug cannot be
 fixed since it mitigates any utility gained from the affordance of leaving
 the launcher.
