 dirakx,

 I also have Pootle-admin (not just language admin).  The "default" user
 (e.g. any registered Pootle user) for the Pootle project in Spanish now
 has "translate" priv.

 I found deathvaps suggestion and made the correction by adding \n to the
 msgstr.

 msgid:
 That username already exists. An email will be sent to the registered
 email address.\n

 msgstr:
 El nombre de usuario ya existe. Un correo electrónico será enviado a la
 dirección de correo registrada.

 If the permission setting on Spanish Pootle project is fine with you, this
 can be closed as fixed.
