 Iwould be easier for Mac and PC users if the SoaS appliance were
 distributed as a .zip file containing only the .vmdk.  Many PC archive
 utilities have to extract the .tar, and then separately extract the .vmdk.

 Also, the soas2-appliance subdirectory isn't really needed, nor is the
 .xml file.

 Attached are two patches which make this happen.  Feel free to accept if
 you think it's a good idea!
