 on Gentoo box `locale -av` gets:
 .....
 locale: ru_RU.utf8      archive: /usr/lib64/locale/locale-archive
 .....

 on ALTLinux 4.1:
 ......
 locale: zu_ZA.utf8      directory: /usr/lib/locale/zu_ZA.utf8
 ......

 that beats LANG parsing in sugar (git and 0.82)
